Allan Aulik (creator and driving force of Velohunt)
Allan has been involved with cycling since 1998, initially as an athlete, and later as a coach and competition organizer. He is the owner of several Estonian Championship medals and also has international competition experience.
Allan’s work and hobby have always been united, although later, work and raising three “Velohunt pups” (his children) shifted the hobby somewhat to the background. In addition to running the bike shop, competing, and organizing competitions, he has also been active in the Estonian national cycling team as an athlete, coach, mechanic, and team manager.
The name Velohunt was also born and matured in Allan’s head. Allan is like the Estonian fictional character “Hunt Kriimsilm” (often referred to in English as a “Jack of all trades”) with his 9 different trades, and there is no area in this company where he hasn’t put his hand to work. Allan is the creator and the driving force behind this company!
Kristi Aulik (financial accounting and back-office)
Kristi has been involved with the company’s activities since the beginning, and her contribution increased when the physical store was established. Thanks to her diverse experience in retail trade, the decision to open the store was undertaken together with Allan.
As a young girl from Southern Estonia, Kristi started working as a customer service representative in the Denim Dream store chain, and already on her trial day, a customer brought her flowers as a sign of gratitude. Later, she continued in the same company as a store manager, regional manager, and finally as an HR manager. She also has experience working as a purchasing specialist. From there, Kristi immersed herself in her family business’s activities. In 2015, she completed her Master’s studies in Business Finance and Economic Accounting at Tallinn University of Technology (cum laude), which allowed her to take over the financial accounting of Velohunt.
Today, in addition to raising three “Velohunt pups” (her children) and managing the bookkeeping, Kristi deals with all other areas concerning the company’s operations. She enjoys cycling for her own pleasure and tries to go riding with the children as well.
Kristel Koort (e-shop and sales specialist)
Kristel was introduced to cycling in 2006, the year she fell in love with the sport. Many miles, sweat, blood, and tears later, her back pocket held 3 Estonian Champion titles and good results from international competitions. Cycling has now become her lifestyle, both in terms of work and leisure, whether in the forest tracks, mountain trails or on the road.
Kristel joined the team at the end of 2016, becoming the first additional “Velohunt” member. During this time, she has developed into a complete sales specialist in the cycling field, shared a feminine touch for the store’s improved appearance, and has recently focused primarily on the activities of the new e-shop.
Aivo Kaljumäe (sales specialist and store manager)
Bicycles have been in Aivo’s life for as long as he can remember. During his school years, he attended cycling training for 5 years and has participated in various amateur sports events to a greater or lesser extent for years. Aivo’s true passion is adventure racing and orienteering. The longer the competition, the bigger the challenge and excitement. In recent years, 24-hour adventures have become his favourite.
On free weekends, Aivo enjoys discovering various beautiful places on his bike as a lone wolf.
In Aivo’s opinion, at Velohunt, we are not so much selling products as we are selling an emotion! With his diverse experience, he can be a great advisor to customers and always find the best solution for them. He is motivated when a customer has received valuable advice and found a product that suits their needs well and from whose use they gain a good experience and feeling.
