Lake MXZ305 Winter Cycling Shoes

Lake MXZ305 is specifically designed for cold winter cycling, with a construction that helps retain a warm layer of air around the foot. The wider and higher toe box provides enough room for thicker socks and helps maintain good circulation in cold weather. The manufacturer’s recommended temperature range is -14 to +7 °C.

The full-leather upper is breathable and treated for water resistance, with Helcori wear- and water-resistant leather reinforcement in the toe area. The tongue with a leather overlay helps keep snow and dirt out of the shoe. The temperature-regulating Outlast lining helps move moisture away from the foot, while 200 g Thinsulate insulation adds warmth.

The shoe uses a fibreglass-reinforced nylon sole compatible with SPD cleats, with a non-slip rubber tread underneath to improve grip when walking. The BOA® M4 Fit System allows precise adjustment of the fit and can also be operated while wearing gloves.

MXZ305 is particularly well suited for winter cycling when temperatures drop clearly below freezing and regular cycling shoes are no longer enough. It is important to leave enough room for your foot and thicker socks – Lake recommends choosing 1–1.5 sizes larger than your usual size when wearing winter socks.

The shoe upper is treated with a water-repellent coating that gradually wears off with use. To maintain the shoe’s water resistance, we recommend renewing the treatment:

• Twice a year when mainly riding in dry conditions and under normal use
• Every 2–3 rides when mainly riding in wet conditions and using the shoes regularly

Measuring: To find the recommended size, add 5 mm to your actual foot length.
