Shimano Dura-Ace PD-R9300 Road Pedals
The Shimano Dura-Ace PD-R9300 is a next-generation road pedal featuring an updated pedal-to-cleat interface and a reduced pedal stack height.
- SPD-SLR system: the pedal-to-cleat connection is designed to minimize play and unwanted movement while improving power transfer
- 2.5 mm lower stack: the reduced stack height improves stability between the shoe and pedal and helps make pedaling more efficient
- Wide contact surface: the wide platform provides solid foot support while improving stability and power transfer
- Lightweight carbon-composite pedal body
- Integrated stainless steel contact plate increases the stiffness of the pedal-to-cleat connection
- Wide bearings and an updated axle design distribute loads more evenly and reduce rotational resistance
- Engagement and release tension can be adjusted according to the rider’s preferences
- Clip-in angle: 10.5°
- Weight: 227 g/pair
Includes: pedals and yellow SPD-SLR CL-110 cleats with 6° float.
DIFFERENCES COMPARED TO THE PD-R9100 GENERATION:
- New SPD-SLR system: the PD-R9300 is the first DURA-ACE pedal to use the new SPD-SLR system, while the PD-R9100 is based on the previous SPD-SL system
- Lower stack: the PD-R9300 has a pedal stack height that is 2.5 mm lower than its predecessor, improving stability between the shoe and pedal as well as power transfer
- Improved bearings: the axle and bearing design of the PD-R9300 has been updated to distribute loads more evenly and reduce rotational resistance
- Nearly identical weight: the PD-R9300 weighs 227 g/pair, compared to 228 g/pair for the PD-R9100. The main advantage of the new model is therefore not weight reduction, but its updated construction and improved pedaling feel
- Clip-in angle: now 10.5°, compared to 15.5° previously
- New cleats: the PD-R9300 uses SPD-SLR CL-110 cleats. Previous-generation SPD-SL cleats are not compatible with the new SPD-SLR system
